Daily Meditation

Zazen (seated meditation) is at the heart of Zen practice and realization. If you have practiced with us previously or have practiced zazen at another Zen center, you are welcome to join us for our daily zazen. However, if you are new to Zen practice, please consider first attending one of our introductory events, as beginning instruction is not offered at our daily sittings. Our regular practice times are:

Tuesday – Friday mornings 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Tuesday & Thursday evenings 7 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

Sunday mornings 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Sittings will begin precisely on the hour, so please arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled start time, or fifteen minutes early if it is your first time visiting. The door will be locked a couple minutes before the sitting begins, so please try to arrive on time.

Please check the calendar or the Upcoming Events sidebar for exact dates and times. Sittings are occasionally canceled or not scheduled as usual for a variety of reasons, including availability of spaces, concurrent retreats, yearly breaks and weather emergencies. All of our regularly scheduled events are at our temple at 1856 S. Columbine Street.
