DESCRIPTION:Two 25-minute rounds of zazen with kinhin (walking meditation) between each round\, followed by a chanting service. This is an in-person event that will also be streamed on Zoom. \nChanting is a powerful and invaluable practice at our center. In speaking on the practice of chanting\, Robert Aitken Roshi said\, “The concentration of the assembly in chanting is a very powerful thing. If we can join with that concentration\, then the mind is stilled.” Philip Kapleau Roshi added a deeper perspective: “Mind is unlimited. Chanting when performed egolessly has the power to penetrate visible and invisible worlds.”
