Intro to Zen Meditation: Four-week class March 4 – 25

Meet our teachers, hear talks on Zen practice and realization, ask any questions you may have, and learn to meditate in a comfortable sitting posture.

The introductory class is recommended for anyone new to Zen and seated meditation (zazen), while the extended four-week format is particularly helpful for those seeking to establish a daily meditation practice. We will teach you a simple breath practice to begin your meditation, and also introduce you to various practice forms we use at our center, should you desire to join our sitting group. Please wear subdued clothing comfortable for sitting cross-legged on cushions (although chairs are available if desired). Following the class, you are welcome to attend any of our regularly scheduled sittings and events.

Our next introductory class begins Wednesday, March 4, from 7 – 8:30 p.m., continuing each Wednesday for four weeks ending March 25, at 1856 S. Columbine Street in Denver. We do ask a $75 donation for the class, payable when you arrive (cash or check; we do not have a credit card reader). Click here to register.
