Intro to Zen Meditation March 6

During this three-hour online class, you can meet our teachers, hear talks on Zen practice and realization, ask any questions you may have, and learn to meditate in a comfortable sitting posture. The introductory seminar is recommended for anyone new to Zen and seated meditation (zazen). We will teach you a simple breath practice to begin your meditation, and also introduce you to various practice forms we use at our center, should you desire to join our sitting group. A meditation cushion is useful if you have one, but it is also fine to meditate in a chair.

Following the seminar, you are welcome to attend any of our regularly scheduled sittings and events. While it is not required, you are especially encouraged to attend the meditation and beginners’ book club that will follow the seminar that Sunday, by way of following up on what you’ve learned and sharing firsthand in our practice and community.
