ZCD has a library located on the second floor of the temple, on the right when one reaches the top of the stairs. The library is split into two parts: a reference library that has a number of texts that can only be read on site as they are hard to find, and a lending library where one can check out books for a period of time for personal use. The reference library is on the northern facing wall and the lending library is on the east facing wall–both are labeled as such. For the lending library, if you wish to check out a book, please complete the following Google Form to set up an account prior to your visit to the library. Once this is completed, a libib patron account will be created for you. At that time, you can visit the ZCD library and check out a book using the library phone and its libib app. You can view our entire collection here: https://www.libib.com/u/zencenterdenver
The steps to check out a book once your account are set up are as follows:
1) Complete the patron google application here.
2) Wait to attempt to check a book out until either Chad Johnson or Derek Dotson follows up with you confirming your account is created.
3) Go to the ZCD library and complete the following check out form with the book(s) you are checking out. Please complete the form for each book you are checking out. The form is located here.
4) Chad or Derek will follow up with you with the due date for the books.
5) Bring the book back to the ZCD library when it is due and place the book where you found it in the bookcase. Please email zcdlibrary@gmail.com when this is complete.
To check a book back in, please follow the steps below:
1) Return the book to the same bookshelf that you found it in the library.
2) Please email zcdlibrary@gmail.com when this is complete.
If you run into any difficulty with these processes, please reach out to Chad Johnson or Derek Dotson at zcdlibrary@gmail.com. Please do not attempt to check out a reference library book. Thank you!
Note: If there is a book that the ZCD Library does not currently posses, please complete the following purchase request form (link) and we can look into the matter.
