Our events begin precisely on time, and doors will be locked five minutes before the event begins in order to foster an environment of supportive silence in the zendo (practice hall). Please plan to arrive at least ten minutes before the stated start time. Parking can be challenging in our neighborhood, so allow extra time for finding a parking space and walking to the center. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes—dark, quiet colors are best. Out of care for those with allergies, please avoid perfume or scented products.
Our daily sittings do not require registration, but do register in advance for special events such as beginners’ nights, introductory seminars, all-day sittings, workshops, and classes.

Cha Dao (茶道), the Way of Tea, is more than just brewing and drinking tea—it is a practice of harmony, mindfulness, and connection to nature. Rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy, Cha Dao embodies the balance of yin and yang, the flow of Qi (life energy), and the simplicity of Zen thought.
In a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, tea is prepared with graceful movements, pure intention, and deep respect for the elements. Using carefully selected living tea (naturally grown, high-quality leaves), pure water, and elegant teaware, each infusion becomes a meditation—an opportunity to be present in the moment. Join us in exploring Cha Dao—where every cup is a journey.
